LSSQ Workshop

Open design work for Last Saturday Side Quest

A new logo, an easier site and event tools for LSSQ, made in the open.

Last Saturday Side Quest is a monthly weekend gathering for nomads, built on music, play, wellness and connection. This workshop is where its new logo, a website Jake can update himself, and event chat get designed and built. Anyone can follow along or pitch in.

This isn't LSSQ's official site. For events, go to lastsaturdaysidequest.odoo.com.

Logo marks, round 1

Six sketches: four simple marks that work everywhere from a 16px browser tab up to a banner, a badge made for stickers and patches, and a striped LSSQ wordmark that draws itself in. Each one keeps the colors and the 80s feel of today's badge. Steve is reviewing them one by one.

The plan

  1. 1

    Logo mark

One simple shape for LSSQ that still reads as an Instagram avatar or a WhatsApp group icon.

    Now

  2. 2

    A site Jake can edit

Everything on the current site, but Jake can change it, preview it and open a pull request without touching code.

    Next

  3. 3

    Event chat

A home for each event's group chat. It might be an existing service rather than a new app.
